Finally The first trailer has arrived! THE HOBBIT AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY Trailer has been released online by New Line/Warner Bros! It might be all festive fun, presents, turkey dinners but this is when the big hitter’s of the following year from Summer onwards start to show if their first footage and The Hobbit film is certainly one of the top anticipated films of next year. In the lord of The Rings films Peter Jackson treated us to the adventures of Frodo Baggins but the Hobbit now concentrates on his uncle Bilbo and his own adventures outside the shire when he was young, in some ways the origins of some of the LOTR popular characters. Like most big block buster it starts with the teaser trailer, teasing us but this teaser trailer gives you value for your pound showing off a lot of fantastic footage but thankfully not in a spoiler-tastic way. This just looks awesome and what the trailer also does for me personally quashes any fears of reservations of Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins as he looks great, we even get a song from the dwarfs but don’t expect “High Ho High Ho”, So would you like to share an adventure with Bilbo? Yes we do!
THE HOBBIT:AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY will be with us 14th December 2012 with the final part coming 13th December 2013 with THE HOBBIT:THERE AND BACK AGAIN. The cast includes returnees from Lord Of The Rings Sir Ian McKellan, Cate Blanchett, Orlando Bloom, Ian Holm, Elijah Wood, Christopher Lee, Hugo Weaving and Andy Serkis with new cast of Richard Armitage, Jed Brophy, Adam Brown, John Callen,Stephen Fry, Ryan Gage, Mark Hadlow, Peter Hambleton, Stephen Hunter, William Kircher, Sylvester McCoy, Bret McKenzie, Graham McTavish, Mike Mizrahi, James Nesbitt, Dean O’Gorman, Lee Pace, Mikael Persbrandt, Conan Stevens, Ken Stott, Jeffrey Thomas, Luke Evans, Benedict Cumberbatch ,Aidan Turner, Evangeline Lily and Barry Humphries.

The Hobbit follows the journey of title character Bilbo Baggins, who is swept into an epic quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor, which was long ago conquered by the dragon Smaug. Approached out of the blue by the wizard Gandalf the Grey, Bilbo finds himself joining a company of thirteen dwarves led by the legendary warrior, Thorin Oakensheild. Their journey will take them into the Wild; through treacherous lands swarming with Goblins and Orcs, deadly Wargs and Giant Spiders, Shapeshifters and Sorcerers.
Although their goal lies to the East and the wastelands of the Lonely Mountain first they must escape the goblin tunnels, where Bilbo meets the creature that will change his life forever … Gollum.
Here, alone with Gollum, on the shores of an underground lake, the unassuming Bilbo Baggins not only discovers depths of guile and courage that surprise even him, he also gains possession of Gollum’s precious ring that holds unexpected and useful qualities … A simple, gold ring that is tied to the fate of all Middle-earth in ways Bilbo cannot begin to know.
