2 TV Spots And 8 Clips For WAR HORSE
After a few years either producing or been an executive producer on the big and small screen last month saw Steven Spielberg return to the directors chair for the animated version of The Adventures Of Tintin:Secret Of The Unicorn. Next month will see the director return to the directors chair once again this time live action his first in 3 years with the big screen adaptation of Michael Mupurgo’s successful Westend play WAR HORSE which is heading to the UK&Ireland on January 13th (December 25th USA). The film is set at the start of World War One a fascinating story between Albert (Jeremy Irvine)and a wild horse he trains and bonds a remarkable friendship which is broken when the horse is sent to the trenches, Albert too young to enlist he goes searching for his horse he has called Joey.
Early screenings have been very positive making this one a contender for February’s Oscars and this has a Saving Private Ryan vibe to it which will have very few dry eyes in the audience, visually stunning epic a word that Steven Spielberg has re-invented of the last 30 plus years. To celebrate the films release Dream Works have released 8 new clips(packaged together in 1 video) plus 2 tv spots, one of the spots is a 2 minute tv spot called ‘Family Actors’ which is more like a featurette with some of the cast chatting about the friendship between Albert and Joey.War Horse stars Emily Watson, David Thewlis , Peter Mullan, Niels Arestrup, Tom HiddlestonLearn more, Jeremy Irvine, Benedict Cumberbatch, Toby Kebbell arriving in UK& Ireland on January 13th 2012.
