2011 has certainly been the year of the fun movie, to me there’s 2 types of fun movie: Fun but also with a serious element and fun movie but totally ridiculous and The Three Musketeers is in the latter. Paul WS Anderson has said for a while he’s always wanted to created a new version of Alexander Dumas classic adventure story and on the 12th October  he will bring his on version of All For One One For all. In a era when so many movies are been remade, prequels, sequels it’s no surprise we have another adaptation of this much used story but the burning question is what new can you bring to a story that’s appeared in so many formats?

When I mentioned ridiculous earlier in this post this is where The Three Musketeers differs from the rest of the pack. Yes we do have a basic plot here but its a more action based movie with the directors wife Millia Jovovich basically playing Alice from Resident Evil franchise but in a period frock. We also have Orlando Blooms character bringing flying machines into the affray  too, simply The Three Musketeers has all the elements you expect from a Anderson movie and ill give him credit for trying to be different however it does look alot of the classic plot has disappeared probably due to who is directing and to be a dreaded 3D.

Below we have several things from the film, first up is a new featurette  about the making of the film which you”ll hear Anderson talking about his vision behind the movie, below the featurette promoting the American release are new character posters which show us Dogtanian, Musketeers plus the villians of the movie too.  The movie stars Logan LermanChristoph WaltzOrlando BloomRay StevensonLuke EvansMatthew MacfadyenMads MikkelsenMilla Jovovich.
