First Film Stars Don’t Die In Liverpool Trailer Potential Oscar Contender?

It’s not unusual to see or hear about couples with big age differences, even film stars too. After its recent world premiere today Film Stars Don’t Die In Liverpool first UK trailer has been released thanks to Lionsgate Films. Starring Annette Bening as Academy Award®-winning actress Gloria Grahame and her playful but passionate relationship between Turner (Jamie Bell).

You love predicting who may be in line for Oscar contention this movie may just deliver glory, especially for the leading lady Annette Bening. The early reviews from Tellerude Film Festival suggest it might be 5th time for the actress.Could it also be Oscar nomination for Bell too who is also getting a lot of praise too for his role as Peter Turner whose memoir the movie is based on. Liverpool, 1978: What starts as a vibrant affair between a legendary femme fatale and her young lover quickly grows into a deeper relationship, with Turner being the person Gloria turns to for comfort. Their passion and lust for life is tested to the limits by events beyond their control. Gloria Grahame was a Hollywood leading lady at the heart of several hit films from the Golden Age of Hollywood, including The Big Heat, It’s a Wonderful Life, In a Lonely Place, and Oklahoma! She won the Academy Award® for Best Supporting Actress for her role in The Bad and the Beautiful.

Film Stars Don’t Die In Liverpool will make its European premiere at BFI London Film Festival next month on 11th October, with the UK and Irish cinema release date on 17th November. The movie also stars Julie Walters, Vanessa Redgrave, Kenneth Cranham, Stephen Graham, Frances Barber, and Leanne Best.
