Poster For Sonic The Hedgehog 2, First Trailer Coming Friday!
After the embarrassing start to Sonic The Hedgehog which saw Sonic getting redesign, the film was an unexpected success. Roll on Sonic The Hedgehog 2 as Paramount Pictures kicks off the promotion for the sequel by unveiling a New Poster.
Even better fans of the original will be delighted to know we will soon get a glimpse at the first footage with the release of the first trailer. The trailer will first premiere at the Games Awards, however here in the UK and Ireland we will get to watch that trailer Friday 10th December.
The Poster itself reveals Jim Carrey is returning as the film’s nefarious villain Dr. Robotnik, The first film seem to play like a dream for the actor, with a performance similar to the chaotic, fun early films of Carrey. He’s not the only actor returning Ben Schwartz back to voice our titular character Sonic and James Marsden as Tom. Tika Sumpter, Adam Pally, Natasha Rothwell and Lee Majbdoub are also returning.
Sonic fans will notice some familiar faces especially his best friend Miles “Tails” Prower who will be voiced by Colleen O’Shaughnessey (Naruto, Digimon). Dr.Robotnik will also have sidekicks with Knuckles to be voiced by none other than Luther himself, Idris Elba.
No release date yet been announced for Sonic The Hedgehog 2Â nor has the film’s official synopsis been released. Hopefully all will be revealed when the trailer arrives on Friday.
