Kingdom Of Heaven Getting A 4K Upgrade

The grit and drama of Ridley Scott’s epic Kingdom of Heaven Director’s Cut makes history come alive again when it plays out on 4K Ultra HD and 4K Ultra HD Steelbook® in  June.

The one thing about this film outside the critical reviews, visually was delightful. Now celebrating it’s 20th Anniversary, this is stunningly restored and remastered  adding more gravitas and organic characterisation to the historical drama.

When originally released on 6th May 2005, Kingdom Of Heaven received mixed reviews. However over time many have given this a second look and considered one of Ridley Scott‘s best films. Technology now improved over the years, the Dolby Vision and heard with Atmos it’s a cinematic experience in your home.

Kingdom of Heaven is one of Scott’s most revered creative endeavors, having crafted a world rich in history, adventure, and visual splendor in which to tell an epic tale. Orlando Bloom stars as the courageous Balian, a young Frenchman in medieval Jerusalem during the Crusades. Having lost everything, Balian finds redemption through a heroic fight — against overwhelming forces — to save his people and fulfill his destiny as a knight.

Still in grief over his wife’s sudden death, village blacksmith Balian (Orlando Bloom) joins his long-estranged father, Baron Godfrey (Liam Neeson), as a crusader on the road to Jerusalem. After a perilous journey to the holy city, the valiant young man enters the retinue of the leprous King Baldwin IV (Edward Norton), which is rife with dissent led by the treacherous Guy de Lusignan (Marton Csokas), who wishes to wage war against the Muslims for his own political and personal gain.
