Golden years is a delightful British comedy following the story of a retired couple who are struggling to make ends meet. But when they decide to hatch a plan to secure there pensions for life, they go on a fun filled adventure.
Golden years was totally not what I expected. I found it just to be such a breath of fresh air. Usually comedies these days are full of young, attractive people in there 20’s getting up to no good.
This was similar but replace the characters in there 20’s to characters of retirement age and you have this awesome fun flick.
As well as being funny, I just over all really liked the film I thought it tackled issues that are still very important and mt likely will be. I like when a film can be silly and funny but still manages to get the attention of the audience onto the seriousness of the issues being presented.
All through out the film it just had me thinking about the darker side to the film anout the struggled elderly people face when seeking their pensions and the challenges we might face getting older.
I really respect the film for taking on this issue and making it into a wonderful feel good comedy.
I honestly cannot really see any reasons why people wouldn’t like this film. It is great. I just have nothing but respect for the film and the film makers.
As with most of my reviews as the Golden Years is out today I am not going to tell you to much about it as I want, no need you to go and watch the film and let us know what you think.
I don’t want to give to much away. I just think that go in expecting to have a fun time and that you will.
