Synopsis

The film follows a team of fearless mercenaries, who led by security expert Derek Miller (Jesse Metcalfe), are considered the best fighters on Earth that money can buy. They are strategically hired by billionaire tech CEO Donovan Chalmers (Bruce Willis) to protect a piece of technology that, if exposed, could destroy the world.

Their mission becomes even higher risk when Chalmers’ daughter is kidnapped by the extremely dangerous terrorist group The Pardoners, who will stop at nothing to obtain the tech. Miller and his team must now work together with Chalmers in order to save his family and protect the fate of the human race before it’s too late.

ReviewContains Spoilers

The synopsis of this film makes it sound great, a high paced action film with a loose plot that will become more intense and detailed as you watch the film – but it doesn’t. What you have read in the synopsis is the entire film.

I’d be surprised if the film had more than 30-minutes worth of dialogue. It’s mainly a gun fight in a warehouse, that’s it. I felt like I was watching my family play a shoot-em-up on the xBox! What did I watch!

The film had potential, the plot is OK and the star we all know can make a mean action movie, so where did it all go wrong?

Maybe having one location for the entire film? An abandoned warehouse which took the ‘elite’ over an hour to kill the bad guy, even then they didn’t kill him – the old man ‘Willis’ did!

Or maybe it was the fact everyone would get a round of shots off for only 1 or 2 to mark anything like a wall, barrel or a person?

Or the fact you could call who was going to die from the beginning of the film and who was going to walk out wounded and the hero!

That being said, if you just want to watch a gun fight for an hour and a half this is your movie. The shooting stops every now and then to update us on the film plot then back to shoot.
