Captain Marvel First Trailer Arrives Can Carol Danvers Save The MCU?

In Top Gun, ‘The heat was on’ In Marvel’s Captain Marvel, Carol Danvers (Brie Larsson) may look like just another pilot. She also could be the one that saves us from Thanos and the aftermath of Avengers: Infinity War.

Ever since a certain scene in the Infinity War, the anticipation has gone through the roof. Now Marvel has finally put us all out of our misery and released the First Trailer. For decades DC got one over its rival with Wonder Woman, now MCU has its own female-led superhero.

She goes higher, further, faster than any other character in the MCU. She is the most powerful superheroes in the universe all thanks to an ‘accident’. This led her to become an member of the Starforce. She is no Supergod like being, a normal gal with a big sense of humour. She does punch a granny, Check out the Trailer…

The is no official synopsis released by Marvel yet. On the film’s Wiki page it does contain this premise…

Set in the mid-1990s, Captain Marvel follows Carol Danvers, a former U.S. Air Force fighter pilot, as she turns into one of the galaxy’s mightiest heroes and joins Starforce, an elite Kree military team, before returning home with new questions about her past and identity when the Earth is caught in the center of an intergalactic conflict between two alien worlds.

Like many Superhero films possibly the actual synopsis delves into ‘spoiler’ territory. Possibly clues to her involvement in the yet untitled Avengers 4 film, which she plays a pivotal role to the storyline. She does befriend a certain Sgt.Fury (Samuel L.Jackson) in his younger days. This ties in nicely to her Avengers: Infinity War ‘Easter Egg’.

The trailer offers the first looks at all the key characters of the film including Ben Mendelsohn, Jude Law, Lee Pace, Djimon Hounsou, Clark Gregg, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Algenis Perez Soto, Rune Temte, and Mckenna Grace.

Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck direct, whom the pair made their names with independent films such as Mississippi Grind, Half Nelson and Sugar.

Captain Marvel will arrive in UK and Irish Cinemas from 9th March 2019.
