Bridget Jones’s Baby is the next chapter of the beloved comedy series based on creator Helen Fielding’s heroine finds Bridget unexpectedly expecting. After breaking up with Mark Darcy (Firth), Bridget Jones’s (Zellweger) “happily ever after” hasn’t quite gone according to plan. Fortysomething and single again, she decides to focus on her job as top news producer and surround herself with old friends and new. For once, Bridget has everything completely under control. What could possibly go wrong? Then her love life takes a turn and Bridget meets a dashing American named Jack (Dempsey), the suitor who is everything Mr. Darcy is not.
First question is who’s the daddy? Whatever you think Bridget has always had an on off with Darcy however she always seems to go back to him, she always still has affection for him. She always falls for the charm of many men so Patrick Dempsey is now onboard instead of Hugh Grant. So even with Bridget Jones: The Edge Of Reason ending on a happy note for Bridget may prove that things where still not meant to be for her. Or could this film just simply a test to prove her bond really is strong or she just loves wealthy successful businessmen? Whatever the end outcome is, it seems its still a mystery as three ending have been filmed, not evn the cast know which ending has been picked!
Will it be pure nostalgia for Bridget Jones fans? We have a hunch due to 12 years since the last film this might be a progressive sequel which should please even more fans. Now how good is that so called scene stealing for Emma Thompson will be as Bridget’s doctor?
Bridget Jones’s Baby will arrive in UK&Ireland on 16th September , the film stars also Shirley Henderson, Celia Imrie, Jim Broadbent and Ed Sheeran.
