It’s Game on for Adam Sandler as  Earth comes under attack from an 8-bit invasion will happen this Summer, will you be ‘pac-manned’ ? watch Pixels New UK trailer, the revolution will be pixelated.

Did you ever think you would see the day We’re keen to see a Sandler film? Well when your  like me a kid  in 1980s brought up on Megadrives, Spectrums, Amiga Computers, this looks a dream come true!

Who would think human’s curiosity to know if their is life out there that the toys, video games of that generation could cause an alien invasion disguised as Pac-Man, Donkey Kong? “Pac Man’s A bad Guy?!” Yep!

In Pixels when aliens misinterpret video-feeds of classic arcade games as a declaration of war against them, they attack the Earth, using the games as models for their various assaults. President Will Cooper(James) has to call on his childhood best friend, ‘80s video game champion Sam Brenner(Sandler), now a home theater installer, to lead a team of old-school arcaders to defeat the aliens and save the planet.

Like many of us the notion of Sandler’s name connected to any film these days leaves you with a sense of dread with his buddy Kevin James onboard too however this is a Chris Columbus film. The jokes look solid actually good for our cast’s previous crimes, we’re not totally sold yet but more impressed it’s got us interested with acertian you know who it. I do see a little homage to Ghostbusters here though I’ll say it lightly as we know trailers can tell us one thing with the film saying another. It’s work in progress.

Pixels also stars Michelle Monaghan, Peter Dinklage, Josh Gad, Ashley Benson and Brian Cox with the film arriving in UK&Ireland 12th August (USA 24th July).
