When you announce your remaking a cult horror classic you’ll have to talk the talk and deliver walk the walk Fede Alvarez’s Evil Dead has a mountain to climb to make sure he delivers something authentically worthy. Its not the matter of delivering something authentic but delivering something worthy of having as well as been called a remake/reboot.When you have a tagline that promises the film to be’ The Most Terrifying Movie You Will Ever Experience’you set yourself high targets and on the evidence of this new red band trailer for Evil Dead it might just deliver on its promise.Haunting imagery, grotesque , gory Fede Alvarez might be delivering something that may bypass the original film in genuine scary chills which is a rarity these days in any genre.

In the much anticipated remake of the 1981 cult-hit horror film,Evil Dead sees  five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin. When they discover a Book of the Dead, they unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.

Evil Dead will be coming to get you on 19th April with the film starring  Jane Levy, Shiloh Fernandez, Lou Taylor Pucci, Jessica Lucas and Elizabeth Blackmore. Bruce Campbell and Sam Raimi producing are we looking at the surprise horror for this new year? Roll on April to find out!
