UK Trailer For THE BIG YEAR Starring Jack Black, Steve Martin, Owen Wilson

How can you make Bird watching interesting ? Get 3 of the funniest men in film to star in The Big Year starring Steve Martin, Jack Black and Owen Wilson and this afternoon  Twentith Century Fox have whisked us over the UK trailer for the film. To me personally there’s 2 types of comedy Crude adult style ala Harold And Kumar, American Pie or the intelligent type like The Big Year you wont get Stiffler type characters or even fart jokes its comedy with a brain though don’t be shocked to see a little bit of slapstick for good measure. The Big Year is about 3 bird watchers who try to out do each other in a year long competition to spot the rarest birds around North America. Is it the cannonball Run of bird watching? Or is director David Frankel attempting to create a Woody Allen style for the general masses? With 3 mainstream comedians onboard we do hope the jokes will live up to the reputations when the film is released on December 2nd in UK&Ireland.

The Big Year Also stars Rosamund Pike, Jim Parsons, Joel McHale , JoBeth Williams, Brian Dennehy,Dianne Wiest, Anthony Anderson, and Tim Blake Nelson

In this comedy for grown-ups, Steve Martin, Jack Black and Owen Wilson portray three men from different walks of life, each facing unique personal challenges. The one thing they share is an uncommon passion for…bird watching. In the biggest competition of their biggest year, they undertake an unforgettable trek through North America, fall in and out of love, engage in hilarious and bizarre adventures, and form friendships that will last a lifetime. Directed by David Frankel (“Marley and Me,” “The Devil Wears Prada”).
