What a great way to start today proceedings off with the unexpected first trailer for BOURNE LEGACY starring Jeremy Renner as our super agent. The Franchise continues with Renner at helm sending out a message that it’s all about Aaron Cross and he can kick ass as much as Jason Bourne as we get plenty of action especially at the end. With the action in there the trailer also teases as it also doesn’t reveal much which is good but what do get is a reminder this is the Bourne Franchise with some of old faces in Joan Allen, Scott Glenn and David Strathairn. They are joined by  Rachel Weisz, Edward Norton, Oscar Isaac, Joan Allen, Albert Finney, Stacy Keach with Tony Gilroy directing who has been the key writer in the franchise giving this new film the Bourne feel.

This looks a fast paced action thriller which should please Bourne fans though what could be in question is should have picked up where Matt Damon finished or should they have taken another direction? Whatever you think The Bourne Franchise is in safe hands and on August 17th when this film arrives in the UK.

The narrative architect behind the Bourne film series, Tony Gilroy, takes the helm in the next chapter of the hugely popular espionage franchise that has earned almost $1 billion at the global box office: The Bourne Legacy. The writer/director expands the Bourne universe created by Robert Ludlum with an original story that introduces us to a new hero (Jeremy Renner) whose life-or-death stakes have been triggered by the events of the first three films. For The Bourne Legacy, Renner joins fellow series newcomers Rachel Weisz, Edward Norton, Stacy Keach and Oscar Isaac, while franchise veterans Albert Finney, Joan Allen, David Strathairn and Scott Glenn reprise their roles.
