From 'The Web ' To The Web New THE AMAZING SPIDERMAN Featurettes And Posters Arrive

Its been a busy few days for our favourite friendly neighbourhood Spiderman With last weeks viral launch& TV Spot to yesterday’s 4 minute ‘super preview’. Today Sony Pictures has unleashed online a brand new featurette which also gives us a chance to look at another featurette which was released the past few days too along with some new posters to remind us this summer is not just about Aliens and Caped Crusaders.

Starting with the new featurette called ‘limitless inspiration’ which goes behind the scenes spotlighting on the director Marc Webb who tells us about the challenges which he had bringing such a massive project to the big screen. Webb also goes on to tell us about the excitement of the script coming together with a talented cast bringing the story to life and you see that through a new footage clip in the featurette. The second featurette ‘Dr Curt Connors’ which focuses on Rhys Ifans character with the Welsh actor talking about his character and his relationship with the Parker family especially Peter’s father whom he worked with. I really like Rhys Ifans and looks a fantastic villain but I still think of him as the pot smoking goofball from Notting Hill! If you know the Spiderman comicbook world you’ll know The Lizard villain is more a complicated and his motives aren’t straight up criminal. This featurette also gives us a few glimspes of The Lizard as well.

Below The featurettes we have some new posters show Spiderman’s view from a height with the the films Spidey logo mapped out over the streets another similar height but us looking over the shoulder of Peter Parker into the city with the tagline ‘The Untold Story Begins’ .it may not have the same anticipation buzz as Prometheus, The Dark Knight Rises but its a film which will hopefully make this summer a great Summer for Cinephiles and live up to the film’s tagline.

The Amazing Spiderman will be released in UK&Ireland on July 3rd and stars Andrew Garfield, Rhys Ifans, Emma Stone, Sally Fields, Martin Sheen,Denis Leary, Campbell Scott, Irrfan Khan.
