The Spirit Of Amblin Shines In New The Adam Project Trailer

In just nine days time, Shawn Levy‘s sci-fi time travelling adventure The Adam Project arrives on Netflix . Before that premiere, the streaming giants release another new Trailer that teases the spirit of  classic Amblin flick.

Ryan Reynolds  plays  a pilot called Adam who lives in 2050 who finds himself trapped in current day time, wounded and ship damaged, he enlists the help of his younger self , eventually their father (Mark Ruffalo). Whilst saving the future Adam must confront his past.

The plot may not sound a lot going on, but it’s a perfect vehicle for Reynolds. As previously mentioned this trailer teases as if this film was directed by Spielberg with a tone similar to the Amblin Films of before. It’s off course old school ala time travelling thriller, one that more interested in the story than big FX.

If your like myself, you were a kid in the 1980’s and brought up on films like The Goonies, Back To The Future, Flight Of The Navigator, this film might be a great nostalgic watch.

A time-traveling pilot teams up with his younger self and his late father to come to terms with his past while saving the future.

The  film also stars Jennifer Garner, Walker Scobell, with Catherine Keener and Zoe Saldaña.

The Adam Project will premiere globally on Netflix from 11th March.
