Partner Up! Watch UK Trailer For Cop Secret

Last year we told you about the Icelandic buddy cop action comedy Cop Secret, next month Vertigo Releasing will bring the film to the UK. Today we get a glimpse at the UK Trailer that teases ‘macho’ action like you’ve never seen before!

After the film’s premiere at BFI London Film Festival we’ve only been hearing good things about this film. Many calling it a absurd and ridiculously fun film, this does have a twist when it comes to gender sterotypes.

Auðunn Blöndal stars as your usual maverick, hard-drinking, no-nonsense, brutal cop in a tight white vest… but he has a secret – he has a crush on hunky fellow policeman Hörđur (Egill Einarsson)! This distracts him from his job tracking down a supervillain robbing all the banks in Reykjavik.

COP SECRET recasts the buddy cop action genre in Iceland, where Bussi, a tough ‘Super Cop’, begins to lose his cool when he’s assigned a new partner – the suave, cultured and self-declaredly pan-sexual Hordur Bess – fighting an inner struggle while investigating a string of bank robberies where nothing seems to have been stolen.

The cast includes Auðunn Blöndal, Egill Einarsson, Steinunn Ólína Þorsteinsdóttir as well as Björn Hlynur Haraldsson. 

Cop Secret will be released in the UK and Ireland on Digital platforms from 16th May.
