As one festival ends another opens it’s door to the fantastic buzz of the previous festival. Steve McQueen‘s 12 Years A Slave is one film we’re looking forward too and it’s heading to London Film Festival this month, a new TV Spot ramps up the tension most of all one of the best emotional cinematic experiences in a long time.

Chiwetel Eijiofor is Soloman Northrup a educated ย blackman living in New York 1840’s who is abducted and forced into forced labour for over a decade. 12 Years A Slave is based on a true story and a film that has Oscar potential written all over it, hard to believe it’s a from a director who has only made 3 films all fantastic in their own way (Hunger and Shame the other 2). From the positive reviews from Toronto Film Festival the film seems to deliver a powerful, uncompromising story that’s delivered in a simple emotional manner that never glamorizes Slavery just reminds us our history is full of shameful moments.

12 Years A Slave also stars ย Michael Fassbender,Benedict Cumberbatch,ย Paul Giamatti,ย Quvenzhane Wallis,ย Sarah Paulson,ย Paul Dano,ย Scoot McNairy,ย Garrett Dillahunt,ย Alfre Woodard,ย Dwight Henry,ย Michael K. Williams,Brad Pitt,ย Lupita Nyongoย andย Garret Dillahunt.

12 Years A Slaveย will be released in UK&Ireland onย 24th January 2014ย (USA `8th October).
