Inception Causes X-Men:First Class To make Changes
As the world enjoy’s the mind of Christopher Nolan in Inception another great mind Matthew Vaughn has had to go back to the drawing table with his upcoming movie X-MEN:FIRST CLASS.Today in Pinewood studios the test shoots will be taking place before the cast & crew taking on 4-5 month guelling shoot to get the movie ready in time for next year summer’s release and when things are getting into place there’s a certain movie blowing the audiences away worldwide and been a director hose been prepping for last few months to find out that Movie has similar action scenes that you where about to include in yours, that movie is Inception!!
After a recent trip to the cinema to see Inception Matthew vaughn nearly choked on his popcorn when he saw a scene that he was going to include in X-Men First Cass:
“I saw ‘Inception,’ which I loved,” Vaughn said Monday. “But my heart sank when I saw that a few of the ideas we had were up [on the screen]. So it’s either leave it in and look as if you’re copying or change things. We completely ripped out about 12 pages of the script and the storyboards.” – he told Hero Complex
The Jettsonised scene reminded him of the dream combat scene from ‘PSI Wars’ which appeared in Uncanny X-Men comicbook away back in 1979 according Vaughn. The director went onto say that the scene was very familar to a fight scene that involved Professor X (Charles Xavier) with other mutants in a spinning room and now the scene looks too close to the Inception scene, so they had to pull out it out.
You have to say it’s a wise move from Vaughn though it would have been nice to see the scene to many people would have criticised Matthew Vaughn saying he ‘ripped off’ Christopher Nolan even though the scene is clearly seen in a comicbook 31 years ago. If Vaughn was to keep the scene in the movie it could have negative reviews on his movie even if the movie turns out to be excellent. Hopefully Vaughn and his writers can pull this one out the bag and come up with something just as good as Charles Xavier is the greatest telepath in comicbook universe and his mind games with villians can be quite unique.
X-Men:First Class is due out June 3rd 2011 (USA) and will star James McAvoy as Charles Xavier, Michael Fassbender as Magneto,Alice Eve as Emma Frost, Nicholas Hoult as Beast, and Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique. Kevin Bacon will also be starring as the villian of the movie but no character has been assigned to him yet.
