Clash Of The Titans: Teaser Trailer
Here is the first trailer for CLASH OF THE TITANS released by Warner Bros via MYSpace videos.
One of my earliest memories of the cinema was going to see the orginal version from 1981 with Harry Hamlin as Perseus, Lawerance Olivier as Zeus and Ray Harryhausen with his legendary clay animation, this movie is a shrine to my childhood I love this movie and every big holiday festive season it’s always shown on TV and im a suck a I watch it again and again. So when I heard it was going to be remade it was shock and horror but also curiousity.
Liam Neeson as Zeus, not bad, Sam Worthington as Perseus. I know sam worthington made a few things before Terminator Salvation but to me it was my first outing of him and in my eyes he never got off to the best of starts, so he has alot of convincing to do to make me say yeah, he was good, possibly Avatar will do that, who knows!? So this is just over 1 minute long, so zeus is in there, medusa!, giant scorpions, what else, mmm? 300 style fight scenes, monsters, dodgy love scenes,Kraken, yeah its looking ok, cmon sam prove us all wrong and be a good perseus. I recommend anyone who hasnt seen the original to watch it, its classic 1980’s fantasy movie.
Clash of The Titans will be out in the UK, March 31st 2010.
A remake of the 1981 film version of the myth of Perseus and his quest to battle both Medusa and the Kraken monster in order to save the Princess Andromeda – IMDB

I watched the teasers for Kick Ass and Clash of the Titans back to back and these two couldn’t be more different. Kick Ass’ teaser didn’t tease out nearly enough – very spotty, but still good. Clash of the Titan’s teaser offered up too much, I think it was overstuffed with scenes and shots, which one might argue is the point of a teaser, but there should be an art to it as well, not just a barfing out of everything cool in the film.
I was a huge fan of the original Clash of the Titans too, but I hope that the only thing this new version has in common with the old one is the title. It needs to be its own thing, and avoid as many comparisons to the original, they were made in different centuries, different millenia, might as well have been on different planets.
They look good, with clash of the titans im on the fence been 34 i was a child when i saw it originally in early 1980’s it was my first memory of cinema, so it a part of my childhood and I hope they respect alot of the 1981 movie as well as throw in some of there own blend. You always have to pay some homage to the original especially if the first version was good
