Alex Garland’s Men New Trailer Will ‘Mess With Your Mind’

A24 Films have released a New unnerving (U.S) Trailer for Alex Garland‘s horror thriller Men.

What creeps in the shadows? Whatever it is Jessie Buckley finds herself haunted and this film promises to ‘mess with your mind’.

It’s great to see the ex-Machina, Annihilation filmmaker latest film will be seen on the big screen rather than the small one. The film is being called a shape shifting terror with Buckley starring along side Rory Kinnear. She plays Harper a woman who retreats from life after personal tragedy to the English countryside. She is plagued by visions of seeing her husband falling to his death. What looks as a peaceful retreat something lurks in the shadow and seems to stalk her playing on her fears.

Kinnear looks to be having fun with this playing a host of creepy male characters. We do get a glimpse of most of those characters which looks that this highlights how haunting the male species can be. The tone starts reassuring only to quickly change, this film play on loss and grief. The burning question is the Apple Tree which seems to be important to the film, an Adam & Eve reference? Forbidden fruit?

In the aftermath of a personal tragedy, Harper (Buckley) retreats alone to the beautiful English countryside, hoping to have found a place to heal. But someone or something from the surrounding woods appears to be stalking her. What begins as simmering dread becomes a fully-formed nightmare, inhabited by her darkest memories and fears in visionary filmmaker Alex Garland’s shape-shifting new horror film.

The cast also includes Paapa Essiedu.

Men will be released by Entertainment Films (EFD Films) in the UK and Ireland. They are saying ‘coming soon’ in regards to release date, however we have heard 20th May as potential release date. The above trailer is for the U.S release and A24 Films will release this chiller on 13th May.
