Joe Lo Truglio will always be known for his comedic roles in television and film. Probably his most famous role will be on the popular comedy series Brooklyn nine-nine as Charles Boyle. This year Lo Truglio made his directorial feature film debut with the indie horror thriller Outpost.
The film sees Kate (Dover), a woman still healing from past trauma. She takes a job in Idaho mountains as a fire lookout volunteer which pushes into a bout of paranoia and feeling really isolated. Can she discover the truth and confront her own demons?
OUTPOST is a brilliant, unassuming tight horror thriller directed by established funny-man Joe Lo Truglio, who cast his astonishing wife Beth Dover in the critical lead role. Enjoy my inspiring conversation with Joe on his film and motives.
