When it comes to certain things, film can provide that ‘education’. Next month Sony Pictures Releasing have released a ‘First Look’ Promo for Eli Roth‘s Thankgiving. Here in the UK a celebration we don’t celebrate, however in film we have heard off.
This new Vignette looks to celebrate those ‘classics kills’ which highlight Roth’s inspirations. If you know Roth, you’ll know this film will be inspired by the slasher films from the 1980’s. Also a big Grindhouse inspirations and a fun element which the likes of Scream had as well.
In Thanksgiving we find ourselves in the small town of Plymouth in Massachusetts. After a tragic Black Friday’ riot, a mysterious serial killer inspired by the holiday terrorises the inhabitants, a town that just happens to be the holiday’s birthplace.
Could this be any good, or simply a ‘fan service’ for genre fans?

After a Black Friday riot ends in tragedy, a mysterious Thanksgiving-inspired killer terrorises Plymouth, Massachusetts – the birthplace of the infamous holiday.
The human turkeys (cast) ready for trimming includes Patrick Dempsey, Addison Rae, Jalen Thomas Brooks, Milo Manheim, Nell Verlaque, Gina Gershon, Tim Dillon, and Rick Hoffman.
Your hunger will be ‘fed’ when Thanksgiving is released in the UK and Ireland from 17th November.
