Will you survive the holidays? Sony Pictures Releasing have unleashed the 2nd UK Trailer for Eli Roth‘s slasher horror Thanksgiving. When humanity is slaughtered like Turkeys , let’s eat!
Here in the UK we may not celebrate what is essentially a American holiday, I think we can say we appreciate the importance of the celebration. The idea itself was from one of those ‘faux’ trailer Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez created in between the Grindhouse films. For Eli Roth fans, they’ll be glad he’s heading back to his gore roots.
For Thanksgiving we find ourselves in the small town of Plymouth in Massachusetts. A mysterious serial killer inspired by the holiday terrorises the inhabitants, a town that just happens to be the holiday’s birthplace.
As mentioned, the trailer teases the director’s trademark gore like it was created in the 1980s. Those levels are tenfold when we get glimpses of some of those deaths. If anyone can remember that trailer, a lot has changed in 16 years and Roth has updated things. Who can be behind the killers mask?
