Everyone wants the best holiday ever, including the girls in the new second Trailer released by MUBI for How To Have Sex.
The film marks the directorial feature debut for cinematographer turned filmmaker Molly Manning Walker. The rites of passage on their first summer holiday to the hedonistic Crete in Greece.
When I was the age of these girls my time was at college then university before coming a holiday rep. That job took me right into the heart of these holidays in Spain, Greece and Italy. It was drink, sex sometimes drugs and rock n roll, us reps sometimes there to babysit or even clean up the mess.
How To Have sex stars Mia McKenna-Bruce as one of the three girls heading to Malia, Crete in Greece. In hope of the best summer ever dance, drink , sex, however things turn sour.
In the eyes of some I would be seen as a perfect person to enjoy this film, no. I might have lived a bit of this life, this film sadly looks shallow, empty despite the positive reviews…

As they dance their way across the sun-drenched streets of Malia, they find themselves navigating the complexities of sex, consent and self-discovery. Captured with luminous visuals and a pitch-perfect soundtrack, Manning Walker’s directorial debut paints a painfully familiar portrait of young adulthood, and how first sexual experiences should – or shouldn’t – play out.
