Elemental coming to UK and Irish cinemas from 7th July from Disney-Pixar

Disney and Pixar’s latest animated adventure Elemental wins a photo-finish race for this week’s Number 1 film on the Official Film Chart.

Crossing the finish line just 120 sales ahead of last week’s chart-topper Transformers: Rise of the Beasts (2), Elemental is our twelfth film of 2023 to enjoy a Number 1 debut.

In Elemental, based in a city where fire-, water-, land- and air-residents live in different neighbourhoods, fire element Ember and water element Wade learn they have more in common than they thought when Ember accidentally summons Wade during a plumbing accident.

At Number 3 this week is another brand-new entry, summer comedy No Hard Feelings, starring Jennifer Lawrence, which enters on digital downloads only.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse drops two to Number 4, while Fast X races up 19 places to Number 5.

Former Number 1s The Super Mario Bros. Movie (6) and The Little Mermaid (7) hold onto a place in the Top 10, Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves (8) drops three places, and John Wick: Chapter 4 (9) enjoys its 13th week in the Official Film Chart.
