It’s all about the ‘family’ for these guys and the latest instalment in the Fast & Furious franchise, Fast X debuts at Number 1 on the Official Film Chart. As the action epic leaves other titles in the dust.

Securing its position based solely on digital downloads, it is the sequel to F9 (2021), the tenth main instalment, and the eleventh instalment overall in the Fast & Furious franchise. In Fast X, Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his family are targeted by the vengeful son of drug kingpin Hernan Reyes. The film features an all-star cast with appearances from Michelle Rodriguez, John Cena, Helen Mirren, Jason Statham and Jason Momoa.

Next up at Number 2 is last week’s chart-topper, with Keanu Reeves playing an unstoppable hitman in John Wick: Chapter 4. It falls one place, with news this week that a fifth instalment is currently being developed.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie holds tight at Number 3, enjoying a fifth week in the Top 5 on digital downloads only, while Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse drops to Number 4 as fans continue to revisit it following the cinematic release of its sequel Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.

Completing the Top 5, Russell Crowe appears in the terrifying horror The Pope’s Exorcist, which debuts at Number 5.

65 rebounds one place to Number 6, followed closely by Shazam! Fury of the Gods which drops here to Number 7. Jurassic World: Dominion roars back into the Top 10, rising 17 places to Number 8.

Rounding out the Top 10 are two more chart regulars; Top Gun: Maverick (9), down three, and Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical (10) which leaps seven.
