Some Secrets Need To Be Told In New Reality UK Trailer

Some secrets need to be told in Tina Satter‘s directorial indie feature Reality. Today Vertigo Releasing have released the full UK Trailer which highlight Reality Winner is a ‘wanted woman’.

How much are you willing to sacrifice in the name of the truth? In this docu-drama Euphoria star Sydney Sweeney takes on the challenge of starring as Reality Winner. She was arrested in 2017 when she became a whistle-blower by leaking classified government information. She was only 25 years old at the time who was also a FBI Agent with a promising career. Only to find her fellow agents surrounding her Georgia home all thanks to the info connected to the 2016 elections and the alleged Russian interference.

The film was a stand out at it’s premiere earlier in the year and next week we will be able to see why. Our titular ‘leaker’ seems to come across a tad too casual giving you the impression she doesn’t appreciate the severity of her actions. Even if those actions deserve to be known or told, this looks thrilling…

Adapted from her 2019 stage play Is This a Room, Satter creates a tense thriller using dialogue taken directly from the FBI’s transcript of the gruelling interrogation that followed. By turns nail-biting, darkly funny and surreal, the film boasts a sensational performance from Sydney Sweeney as the first whistle-blower in the Trump era.

Reality will be in UK and Irish Cinemas from 2nd June (29th May in the U.S). The film also stars Josh Hamilton and Marchánt Davis.
