In society we’re getting conscientious of Artificial Intelligence and how it is starting to and how will impact us. 20th Century Studios the first UK Trailer for The Creator, Gareth Edwards new film takes us down a dangerous route. One that AI rages war rather than Art or scripts they do nowadays!
Chat PGT might be ‘harmless’ in what may lay ahead of us, in this post apocalyptic thriller war between AI and humanity rages on. That may change all down to John David Washington‘s character Joshua, an ex-special forces man who is searching for ‘The Creator’. Who is responsible for AI creation and a weapon that could end the war for good. Joshua is also grieving for his missing wife (Gemma Chan) whom he blames for her disappearance.
One thing we can say right away for this, it’s visually stunning . Edwards world building looks fantastic, but who is the child that travels with Joshua (newcomer Madeleine Yuna Voyles)?
Amidst a future war between the human race and the forces of artificial intelligence, Joshua (Washington), a hardened ex-special forces agent grieving the disappearance of his wife (Chan), is recruited to hunt down and kill the Creator, the elusive architect of advanced AI who has developed a mysterious weapon with the power to end the war… and mankind itself. Joshua and his team of elite operatives journey across enemy lines, into the dark heart of AI-occupied territory… only to discover the world-ending weapon he’s been instructed to destroy is an AI in the form of a young child.
The rest of the cast includes Gemma Chan, Allison Janney, Ralph Ineson, Ken Watanabe, Sturgill Simpson, and Marc Menchaca. The Creator will be released in UK and Irish cinemas from 29th September.
