Death is just the beginning in the first trailer for A Haunting In Venice. 20th Century Studios unveil the chilling first teaser for Kenneth Branagh‘s third outing as the iconic sleuth Hercule Poirot. Stepping into the horror genre, a territory that renowned writer Agatha Christie not associated with.

Like many of the big release trailers arriving online are all coming via CinemaCon. Coming this year from Las Vegas which attendees watched the promo during Disney‘s presentation. Will this film be the ‘moustache’ going beyond the living to catch the mysterious killer?

Based on Christie’s novel Hallowe’en Party, Poirot is now in exiled during post world war II Venice. Reluctantly attends a Séance at one of the city’s renowned venues which one of the guests is murdered. Who is responsible and who is Poirot gonna call? It wont be Ghostbusters!

Not your typical whodunnit, will it be a true horror or simply the ghosts from those of our past? After the ghost of Death On The Nile, here’s hoping that ghost won’t haunt this one. Please no more green screens!

A Haunting in Venice is set in eerie, post-World War II Venice on All Hallows’ Eve and is a terrifying mystery featuring the return of the celebrated sleuth, Hercule Poirot. Now retired and living in self-imposed exile in the world’s most glamorous city, Poirot reluctantly attends a séance at a decaying, haunted palazzo. When one of the guests is murdered, the detective is thrust into a sinister world of shadows and secrets.

The cast includes Kyle Allen, Camille Cottin, Jamie Dornan, Tina Fey, Jude Hill, Ali Khan, Riccardo Scamarcio, Kelly Reilly, Emma Laird, and Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh.

A Haunting In Venice will spook UK and Irish cinemas from 15th September. A world premiere for Venice Film Festival?
