Robert McCall is back to finish the job, Denzel Washington is once again back for The Equalizer 3. Sony Pictures have released the first UK Trailer and justice knows no borders.
Mr. Washington as we know is one of Hollywood’s modern greats and we do enjoy his antics in the action thriller genre. Anyone can remember the classic Edward Woodward TV series will remember it was no full on action series, it did return in 2014 with Queen Latifah as Robin McCall. We’ve had 2 movies and late this Summer the third and what looks like final film will arrive.
The third film comes 5 years after the second film which sees a Man On Fire reunion with Dakota Fanning. Robert is living in Southern Italy and his new friends find themselves under the control of the local mafia. Things turn nasty, cue The Equalizer coming out of retirement and unleashing his own brand of justice.
Badass is a word we’re thinking off, and the violence level may now be up a notch or two. I wasn’t a fan of the last film, things do look a lot better with this new film…
Since giving up his life as a government assassin, Robert McCall (Denzel Washington) has struggled to reconcile the horrific things he’s done in the past and finds a strange solace is serving justice on behalf of the oppressed. Finding himself surprisingly at home in Southern Italy, he discovers his new friends are under the control of local crime bosses. As events turn deadly, McCall knows what he has to do: become his friends’ protector by taking on the mafia.
The film also stars Sonia Ben Ammar, Remo Girone, Andrea Dodero, Eugenio Mastrandrea, and Andrea Scarduzio. The Equalizer 3 will be released in UK ,Irish and US cinemas from 1st September.
