Epic Fantasy Knights of the Zodiac Gets A UK Trailer

Anime fans will know this title very well as it’s based Masami Kurumada‘s Manga Saint Seiya. The film stars Mackenyu who is no stranger to live action anime he also appeared Rurouni Kenshin. Genre film fans will know his famous father, the legendary Sonny Chiba. He’ll also star in the One Piece live action film too.

He stars as Seiya, one of the five young people blessed with mythical powers. They are called ‘saints’ using their powers to protect the Goddess Athena as well as keeping peace and justice on Earth too.

The trailer sets up the story introducing those five, teasing their powers. VFX actually looks good, it’s old chestnut will it be any good?

Based on the international anime sensation, Knights of the Zodiac brings the Saint Seiya saga to the big screen in live action for the first time. Seiya (Mackenyu), a headstrong street teen, spends his time fighting for cash while he searches for his abducted sister. When one of his fights unwittingly taps into mystical powers he never knew he had, Seiya finds himself thrust into a world of warring saints, ancient magical training and a reincarnated goddess who needs his protection. If he’s to survive, he will need to embrace his destiny and sacrifice everything to take his rightful place among the Knights of the Zodiac.

The rest of the cast include Madison Iseman, Sean Bean, Diego Tinoco, Famke Janssen, Nick Stahl, and Mark Dacascos. Knights Of The Zodiac will be released in UK and Irish cinemas from 28th July.
