The film tries to answer some hard hitting questions especially about foster care and the institutions the children live in them. Any cinephile knows not every film is there to entertain, it’s also there to inform and give the viewer an experience.
Teyana Taylor stars as Inez, a free spirited woman who kidnaps her 6 year old son from the foster care system. Both start reclaim their home and identity in the ever changing New York City.
it’s a shame a lot of people will always go for the blockbuster or comic book option. It’s good to watch something different you might be surprised, you may enjoy that film. This looks intimate, personal drama I would not at all be surprised be in the running for future awards.
