Your never too late to love like James Cosmo and Brid Brennan in My Sailor, My Love. Ahead of it’s release in the UK next month, Signature Entertainment release the tender UK Trailer.
Cosmo plays a retired sea captain whose relationship with his daughter is strained. She gets her dad a caretaker to look after him, that care comes in the shape of local widower Annie (Bríd Brennan). Howard rejects the help only to give in and slowly him and Annie get closer.
Anyone tells you when you get to a certain age, chances of certain things disappear. Tell them to get lost in the nicest way, you’re never too old!

My Sailor, My Love is a heart-warming last loves romance from Finnish director Klaus Härö, featuring a cast of acting veterans including multi-award-winning James Cosmo (Braveheart) and Bríd Brennan (Brooklyn) plus Catherine Walker (A Dark Song), and Nora-Jane Noone (The Descent) and set on the beautiful Achill Island, off County Mayo on the west coast of Ireland. After becoming concerned about her father Howard (James Cosmo), Grace (Catherine Walker), hires a caretaker in the form of Annie (Brid Brennan). As a result of his recluse nature, Howard initially rejects any help from Annie, but gradually the pair begin to bond, and Howard re-considers opening his heart to love and to be loved once more. My Sailor, My Love is directed by Klaus Härö (Letters to Father Jacob) and written by Jimmy Karlson (Mother of Mine) and Kirsi Vikman (Mother of Mine).
The film also stars Catherine Walker, Nora-Jane Noone, Aidan O’Hare, and Molly McCann. Signature Entertainment will release My Sailor, My Love in UK and Irish Cinemas from 10th March. The film will also play at Glasgow Film Festival 3rd March then Dublin 2nd March and Borderlines from 4th March.
