Later this month Picturehouse Entertainment are set to give Hanna Bergholm‘s horror fairy tale Hatching. Coming to Blu-ray, DVD and Digital later this month.
The film stars Siiri Solalinna, Sophia Heikkilä, Saija Lentonen, and Jani Volanen.
12 year old Tinja (Siiri Solalinna), is desperate to please her mother. She wants to showcase the ‘perfect family’, when Tinja finds an strange egg from a wounded bird, she takes it home. She looks after it until it hatches with the creature becoming her friend and living nightmare.
I was fortunate to catch the film at a preview screening just before it’s cinematic release. I gave it 4 stars and described the film “elegantly, claustrophobic, absurd genre bending body horror“. You can read my full review via the link below the trailer…
