Sylvester Stallone Shows His Powers In Samaritan New Clip

This coming Friday (26th August), Sylvester Stallone‘s Samaritan will premiere on Prime Video. Ahead of that premiere, Amazon have sent us this short clip. In that clip that tease Sly’s character may have ‘powers.

Joe Smith (Stallone) is a bin man who adores unearthing precious treasures from the rubbish. Living an honest, simple life that is interrupted one day to help a young neighbour. His home town is falling apart thanks to the crime rate that is on the rise. A young boy thinks Mr Smith has a secret. He believes his ageing neighbour is a superhero who went into hiding 25 years ago. If true can he coax him out and help rescue their home town.

Thirteen-year-old Sam Cleary (Javon “Wanna” Walton) suspects that his mysterious and reclusive neighbour Mr. Smith (Sylvester Stallone) is actually a legend hiding in plain sight. Twenty years ago, Granite City’s super-powered vigilante, Samaritan, was reported dead after a fiery warehouse battle with his rival, Nemesis. Most believe Samaritan perished in the fire, but some in the city, like Sam, have hope that he is still alive. With crime on the rise and the city on the brink of chaos, Sam makes it his mission to coax his neighbour out of hiding to save the city from ruin.

The film also stars Javon “Wanna” Walton, Pilou Asbæk, Dascha Polanco, Martin Starr and Moises Arias.

Samaritan will premiere globally on Prime Video from 26th August.
