Beware Of The Grinning Face In Trailer For Smile

Your body language can do many things when it comes to positivity, or in icebreaker situation. However one expression could be deadly, like in upcoming horror thriller Smile. Paramount Pictures have released the creepy official UK Trailer for the film that warns us, beware of the grinning face!

You don’t need anyone to tell you a smile under false pretences can be unsettling and this film very traumatic. Sosie Bacon (Mare Of Easttown) is Dr Rose Cotter whom after witnessing a traumatic incident with one of her patients experiences something terrifying haunts her. Everywhere she goes all she sees is people smiling forcing her to face her past.

The film is directed by Parker Finn and is based on her 2020 short Laura Hasn’t Slept. It won an award at SXSW with critical acclaim, and like many shorts we now have the feature length. Oh did we mention this is very creepy? Yes? We’ll say it again, creepy!

After witnessing a bizarre, traumatic incident involving a patient, Dr. Rose Cotter (Sosie Bacon) starts experiencing frightening occurrences that she can’t explain. As an overwhelming terror begins taking over her life, Rose must confront her troubling past in order to survive and escape her horrifying new reality.

The rest of the cast also includes Jessie T. Usher, Kal Penn, Rob Morgan, Kyle Gallner, Caitlin Stasey, and Judy Reyes.

Smile at this moment doesn’t have a UK or Irish cinema release date, Paramount Pictures only have it as ‘Coming Soon‘. If you live in the USA it’s 30th September, could we follow a similar release date?
