Signature Entertainment will be releasing this one, which takes us to the near future of Brazil. Thanks for a new ‘executive order’ from the Brazilian government making the black population strangers in their own homes. Due to a worldwide crisis they want to send that population to African continent. Even if they are living legally in the country, many are resisting and fighting back.
They are now strangers in their own home. Under a new executive order from the government, thousands of legal residents of African descent find themselves marked as exiled refugees. Plucked from their homes by armed police and ruthlessly deported, the new regime in Brazil is creating a worldwide crisis. Those who remain can choose to hide or fight. Lives are on the line and violence is escalating for those who defy the new law. The world has gone mad and only an act of rebellion could put an end to the insanity.
The film stars Alfred Enoch (Harry Potter Franchise), Seu Jorge (The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou) and Taís Araújo, it was directed by Lázaro Ramos.
Signature Entertainment will release Executive Order on Digital Platforms in the UK and Ireland from 18th July.
