Today Entertainment One have released the first UK Teaser Trailer as the found footage horror arrives in your car, more appropriately the ‘dashcam’.

In this one we find ourselves during Lockdown (this was filmed during 2021 lockdown), we follow Annie (Annie Hardy) an musician who decides to livestream talking to her fans as she travels downtown. She heads over to the UK catches up with her old bandmate, annoying his girlfriend at the same time. She tags along with him on a delivery filming everything, things take a dangerous turn when she decides to help an old woman.

The film premiered at Toronto Film Festival in 2021, it divided audiences. Host won a lot of ‘non-horror’ fans, so expectations were high. However horror fans, you might just like this one as it looks bonkers!

In the midst of lockdown, musician Annie has been livestreaming with her fans, taking their comments and turning them into rap lyrics as she drives around downtown Los Angeles. Exasperated by her pandemic lifestyle, Annie escapes to the UK to visit her old bandmate Stretch, livestreaming the whole way. Her arrival and behaviour incite contempt from Stretch’s girlfriend, and she causes chaos when tagging along on his food delivery job.

Viewed through her livestream, an abrasive musician’s night takes a dangerous turn after she agrees to help transport a frail elderly woman out of town.

The film also stars Amar Chadha-Patel, Angela Enahoro, and Seylan Baxter.

Dashcam is set for a very limited UK and Irish cinema release from 3rd June, with the film available from 6th June on all Digital Platforms.
