Netflix have released the first look teaser trailer for it’s sci-fi horror animated anthology Love, Death + Robots Volume 3.

Calling this series sci-fi horror is a bit of a mislead, it’s a lot more than that. As you’ll see from the short teaser, Netflix want to reminds us the series is on the award winning channel and the home of prestige dramas such as The Crown and The Queen’s Gambit. The trailer does boast the series has picked up 11 primetime television awards so far between the first two seasons.

Off  if you have seen Volumes 1 and 2 you’ll there’s nothing historical in the animated shorts including the new volume.  The stories are twisted, grotesque, surreal  and that’s probably thanks to a certain David Fincher (Mank, Se7en) with help from Tim Miller (Deadpool). They were joined in Volume 2 by Kung Fu Panda director Jennifer Yuh Nelson who is onboard once again.

There is no word on what filmmakers that are onboard for the new volume. You do get a glimpse of their films in this teaser, with 8 short films diverse in animation style from around the world. The teaser does remind us of the previous volumes, most of a reminder to add this to your watchlist!

Terror, imagination and beauty combine in new episodes which stretch from uncovering an ancient evil to a comedic apocalypse, telling startling short stories of fantasy, horror and science-fiction with trademark wit and visual invention.
