Watch Trailer For Shudder’s Zombie Horror Virus: 32

Today the Walking Dead called it wrap on the final ever episode, so we’ll need our zombie fix! That fix may come next month in the shape of Virus: 32 and tonight Shudder unearth the official Trailer…Watch and you may only have 32 seconds to live!

This horror comes from Latin American horror maestro Gustavo Hernandez, whose feature debut The Silent House (La casa muda) premiered out of Cannes in 2010 to international acclaim. He followed that with the 2014  Local God (Dios Local) and 2018 You Shall Not Sleep (No dormirás).

This film has bypassed the film festivals and heading to Shudder, for it’s world premiere. Though we do love the zombie sub genre, it’s now a packed one so having a little twist might make things a little more rewarding. This may have that with a fast spreading virus when the affected become ultra fast hunters. We follow Iris a night guard who is attempting to find her young daughter and attempt to survive. They have one salvation, the affected stop for 32 seconds of calm before attacking again.

Zombie fans this looks like it ticks all the boxes of a good film.

In Virus :32, a virus breaks out and a chilling massacre rages through the streets. The sick become hunters, and only calm their fever by unscrupulously killing all those not yet infected. Unaware of this, Iris (Paula Silva, In The Quarry) and her daughter spend the day in the sports club where Iris works as a security guard. When night falls, their fight for survival beings. Their only hope of salvation arrives when they discover that after each attack, the infected seem to stop for 32 seconds of calm before attacking again.

The film stars Paula Silva, Daniel Hendler, with Sofía González.

Virus: 32 will premiere on Shudder from 21st April in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.
