Tony Hawk: Until The Wheels Fall Off Doc Gets An Official Trailer

To many Tony Hawk is that ‘Skateboarding bloke’ that some may not know his name but they know what he does. Off course those who do, know him as the birdman, one of the most successful skateboarders in the world who also has his own video games. Later this month Tony Hawk: Until The Wheels Fall Off  will make it’s premiere at this month’s SXSW Festival and HBO have unveiled the official Trailer.

Hawk will also be known as pioneer of the modern vertical skateboarding. Not forgetting many of the technically awesome tricks that many skateboarders worldwide try to replicate. Sam Jones documentary will delve into his professional and personal life, his relationship with skateboarding. With a promise of never before seen footage, most of all showcasing his rise to fame which didn’t kick-off until his 30s.

The film will also include contributions from fellow skateboarders Stacy Peralta, Rodney Mullen, Mike McGill, Lance Mountain, Steve Caballero, Neil Blender, Andy MacDonald, Duane Peters, Sean Mortimer, and Christian Hosoi.

A wide-ranging, definitive look at Hawk’s life and iconic career, and his relationship with the sport with which he’s been synonymous for decades. Hawk, born in San Diego, Calif., is a pioneer of modern vertical skating and one of the most influential skateboarders of all time. Including never-before-seen footage and unprecedented access to Hawk, along with interviews with figures from the skateboarding world.

We don’t have any details yet on Tony Hawk: Until The Wheels Fall Off UK or Irish release just yet. If you live Stateside or in a part of the world that has HBO you can watch it on HBO MAX from 5th April.
