Michael Bay’s Ambulance Gets One Final UK Trailer

Jake Gyllenhaal needs an escape plan in the Baymeister’s latest action thriller

It’s been a while since Michael Bay had a high octane action thriller on our screens. It’s even longer with a film that doesn’t have giant talking robots, tomorrow that will change with the release of Ambulance. Today Universal Pictures release the second UK Trailer and Jake Gyllenhaal needs an escape plan!

On the even of the release, the first reviews have arrived online, many calling it Die Hard in a ambulance. A 90’s explosive retro carmageddon another description, if you love those leave your brain at the box office thriller you might be in with a treat. This looks popcorn fodder and this new trailer gives us a good look at what we can expect.  All the Bay tropes are here dizzy cinematography, loud explosions, guns and cheesy dialogue!

The film is centred around two  adoptive brothers fleeing Los Angeles after a bank heist gone awry. They hijack a ambulance, which has a injured cop, can they find a way out of the mess there in?

Over one day across the streets of L.A., three lives will change forever. In this breakneck thriller from director-producer Michael Bay, decorated veteran Will Sharp (Emmy winner Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Candyman, The Matrix Resurrections), desperate for money to cover his wife’s medical bills, asks for help from the one person he knows he shouldn’t—his adoptive brother Danny (Oscar® nominee Jake Gyllenhaal, Zodiac, Spider-Man: Far From Home). A charismatic career criminal, Danny instead offers him a score: the biggest bank heist in Los Angeles history: $32 million. With his wife’s survival on the line, Will can’t say no. But when their getaway goes spectacularly wrong, the desperate brothers hijack an ambulance with a wounded cop clinging to life and ace EMT Cam Thompson (Eiza González, Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, Baby Driver) onboard. In a high-speed pursuit that never stops, Will and Danny must evade a massive, city-wide law enforcement response, keep their hostages alive, and somehow try not to kill each other, all while executing the most insane escape L.A. has ever seen.

The rest of the cast includes Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Eiza González, Garret Dillahunt, Moses Ingram, Jackson White, Cedrick Sanders, Keir O’Donnell, and A Martinez.

Ambulance will be released in UK and Irish cinemas tomorrow 25th March. If you live in the USA, you can catch the film from 8th April.
