Fans of Alice Osman‘s graphic Novel Heartstopper will be delighted to know the live action version will be released next month. Today Netflix tease fans with the series First Trailer, that promises life, love and everything in between.
The streaming giants announced the news of the acquisition last year for the LGBTQ upcoming drama. The series will consist of eight episodes with Osman adapting the episodes for the streaming world.
The two boys at the centre of this drama are played by Joe Locke, and Kit Connor. They play Charlie and Nick who quickly become friends at school that blossoms into an unexpected romance. It’s a journey of self discovery for both as well as their friends as they learn about their true selves.
Reaction so far to this trailer has been fantastic especially as this is a Queer love story many hoped to see. Many others have said on social media they wish there was similar dramas were on TV when they grew up.
Boy meets boy. Boys become friends. Boys fall in love. When gentle Charlie and rugby-loving Nick meet at secondary school, they quickly discover that their unlikely friendship is blossoming into an unexpected romance. Heartstopper Season One will premiere on Netflix from 22nd April.
