Watch The Surreal UK Trailer For Broadcast Signal Intrusion

Let’s be honest we all enjoy those unique films, even if there a little off kilter. One of those films from last year was Jacob Gentry‘s Broadcast Signal Intrusion, a big favourite at film festivals such as SXSW and Arrow Video FrightFest.  Next month the indie Neo-Noir inspired horror thriller is set for release by Lightbulb Film Distribution in the UK, today they reveal the surreal mind*uck of a UK trailer.

This film takes us back to the late 1990s. James (Harry Shum Jr) a video archivist unearths a series of sinister pirate broadcasts and becomes obsessed with uncovering the conspiracy behind them.

Films like Prano Bailey-Bond‘s Censor rightly made big sways in genre cinema, this film will be right up your street. If you enjoy that conspiracy theory films that spin into a rabbit hole of paranoia, you certainly have to check this one oout.

Set during 1999, James is archiving video tapes for a Chicago television station when he discovers that one contains a broadcast signal intrusion (BSI) where a disguised person acts strangely. The video is difficult to hear clearly, but this intrigues James. He chooses to investigate reports of a similar BSI that occurred during an episode of a sci-fi TV show, only to discover that the FCC took all of the station’s copies. As he continues to search, James uncovers a possible conspiracy that it linked to the disappearance of several women, including his wife Hannah.

The film also stars Chris Sullivan, Kelley Mack, Steve Pringle, and Justin Welborn.

Broadcast Signal Intrusion will get a limited UK and Irish cinema release on 25th March. Then on Digital Download and Blu-ray from 28th March.
