Ben Stiller Workplace Thriller Severance Gets First Trailer

Apple tv have released the official Trailer for Ben Stiller‘s upcoming sci-fi based thriller series Severance. Balancing life and work can be tricky in this Dan Erickson based series attempts to address that question. How do you split when you work from home?

The series will see Adam Scott as Mark who leads a team at Lumon Industries. A workplace whose employees have undergone a severance procedure, surgically dividing  their memories between their work and personal lives. However Mark has a dark past that will make him face his work and his past at the same time.

There’s a big Black Mirror thing going on here, which is great. However nearly everything seems to Black Mirror inspired in sci-fi, here’s hoping this one can take things to another level here.


From director and executive producer Ben Stiller and creator Dan Erickson comes “Severance.” Mark Scout (Adam Scott) leads a team at Lumon Industries, whose employees have undergone a severance procedure, which surgically divides their memories between their work and personal lives. This daring experiment in “work-life balance” is called into question as Mark finds himself at the centre of an unravelling mystery that will force him to confront the true nature of his work… and of himself.

The series is written and created by Dan Erickson. Mark Friedman, Chris Black, John Cameron and Andrew Colville are executive producers alongside Erickson. Ben Stiller, Nicky Weinstock and Jackie Cohn executive produce through Red Hour Productions, and both Patricia Arquette and Adam Scott serve as producers. Endeavor Content serves as the studio.

The series also stars Patricia Arquette, John Turturro, Britt Lower, Zach Cherry, Dichen Lachman, Jen Tullock, Tramell Tillman, Michael Chernus and Christopher Walken.

Severance will launch globally on Apple TV+ with the first two episodes on 18th February  2022, followed by new weekly instalments, each Friday during its nine-episode season.
