Watch Trailer For Scandi Horror Series Elves

Christmas is coming early this year. Just maybe not in the way you’d expected it to be. It’s going to be a ‘killer’ and today Netflix release the Official Trailer for Danish fantasy horror series Elves.

The festive season is meant to be the most wonderful time of the year. A time for family and loved ones to reconnect, in this series a family attempts to reconnect and turns into an nightmare for them. When they discover something dark, ancient, secretive lurking in the forest they are on holiday too.

Atmospheric, and another lesson to where you might want to go on holiday. These creatures may not be the exact ‘Santa’s Little Helpers’ you might think and looking at the trailer, they might not be the guilty party either!

Hoping to reconnect over Christmas, a family of four travels to a remote island in the Danish archipelago, only to find it controlled by members of a strongly religious community living in balance with fierce creatures in the woods revealed to be… elves. Real, monstrous beings that inspired the folklore and myths we all know. When the girl in the family finds and brings home a baby elf, she inadvertently disrupts the balance and throws everyone on the island into a life-or-death battle for faith, family and pure survival.

The 6 episode series is created and written by Stefan Jaworski, directed by Roni Ezra and produced by Elise H. Lund for Miso Film. Elves is based on an original idea from Jannik Tai Mosholt and Christian Potalivo, who also serve as executive producers together with Peter Bose and Jonas Allen from Miso Film.

The cast includes Sonja Steen, Milo Toke Bendix Campanale, Ann Eleonora Jørgensen, Vivelill Søgaard Holm, Rasmus Hammerich, Peder Thomas Pedersen, Lila Nobel and Lukas Løkken.

Elves series arrives on Netflix from 28th November.
