Evil cannot be contained and four weeks time Sony Pictures will take us back to Re Evil when Resident Evil: Welcome To Racoon City. Before we witness the beginning of evil we have a new second (UK) Trailer, which is a ‘nightmare’ all about the Nightmare City, Racoon City.

We’ve had many video game movie adaptations, sadly most of them fail to impress. The Milla Jovovich films especially the first one was good, but slowly the quality decayed like the zombies we find in the games. I’m no expert of this game franchise but I know enough to say this is looking a solid, honest to the source. The film does look to have that visual style from the franchise, it will be up to how much you are looking for.

This trailer is short and sweet, gives us more new footage that plays on the monsters, with creepy new footage. It looks like they won’t hold back and hopefully faithful to the gore of the games…

Returning to the origins of the massively popular RESIDENT EVIL franchise, fan and filmmaker Johannes Roberts brings the games to life for a whole new generation of fans. In RESIDENT EVIL: WELCOME TO RACCOON CITY, once the booming home of pharmaceutical giant Umbrella Corporation, Raccoon City is now a dying Midwestern town. The company’s exodus left the city a wasteland…with great evil brewing below the surface. When that evil is unleashed, a group of survivors must work together to uncover the truth behind Umbrella and make it through the night.

The film stars Kaya Scodelario as Claire Redfield, Hannah John-Kamen as Jill Valentine, Robbie Amell as Chris Redfield, Tom Hopper as Albert Wesker and Avan Jogia as Leon S. Kennedy, with Donal Logue and Neal McDonoughJohannes Roberts (47 Metres Down, Storage 24) directing this one.

Resident Evil: Welcome To Racoon City will be released in UK and Irish Cinemas from 3rd December.
