No One Cares The World Is Ending In Don’t Look Up New Trailer

These days if you publicly announce the world is ending you would be considered a ‘conspiracy theorist’ or a ‘nut job’. In Adam McKay’s upcoming comedy Don’t Look Up the world is ending and Netflix has revealed the film’s second Trailer. Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio are trying to convince us otherwise, but no one cares!

Lawrence and DiCaprio are student and professor who attempt to convince the government a giant planet killer size meteor is heading our way. No one believes them and the pair embark on a media tour to try let the world know our doom is pending.

McKay as we know is known for his political satires such as Vice and Big Short. In a way this one is too though it’s more poking fun at humanity itself and how stupid we can be. It also showcases how easy it can be to get information be it true or false hence making it hard for many of us to believe what we read or hear. This trailer does present this film as a bit of an oddball, however we think Adam McKay is at his best when he’s delivering comedy. So we have high hopes for this one…

ate Dibiasky (Jennifer Lawrence), an astronomy grad student, and her professor Dr. Randall Mindy (Leonardo DiCaprio) make an astounding discovery of a comet orbiting within the solar system. The problem — it’s on a direct collision course with Earth. The other problem? No one really seems to care. Turns out warning mankind about a planet-killer the size of Mount Everest is an inconvenient fact to navigate. With the help of Dr. Oglethorpe (Rob Morgan), Kate and Randall embark on a media tour that takes them from the office of an indifferent President Orlean (Meryl Streep) and her sycophantic son and Chief of Staff, Jason (Jonah Hill), to the airwaves of The Daily Rip, an upbeat morning show hosted by Brie (Cate Blanchett) and Jack (Tyler Perry). With only six months until the comet makes impact, managing the 24-hour news cycle and gaining the attention of the social media obsessed public before it’s too late proves shockingly comical — what will it take to get the world to just look up?!

The cast also includes Rob Morgan, Jonah Hill, Mark Rylance, Tyler Perry, Timothée Chalamet, Ron Perlman, Ariana Grande, Scott Mescudi, Himesh Patel, Melanie Lynskey, Michael Chiklis, Tomer Sisley with Cate Blanchett and Meryl Streep.

Don’t Look Up will get an limited UK and Irish cinema release from 10th December. Then on 24th December the film will be exclusively on Netflix.
