Watch The Audaciously Creepy UK Trailer For Lamb

Noomi Rapace had a little ‘lamb’ In the totally bonkers Icelandic arthouse horror

We’ve been loving every minute of the marketing of Valdimar Joìhannsson’s upcoming atmospheric supernatural horror LAMB. Today our anticipation levels rise to scary heights with the reveal of the audaciously creepy UK Trailer and it’s totally bonkers!…In a positive unsettling way!

Mary had a little lamb, now it’s Noomi Rapace. Or should we say hybrid nightmare.

A childless couple couple, María (Noomi Rapace) and Ingvar (Hilmir Snaer Gudnason) who live with their herd of sheep on a beautiful but remote farm in Iceland. When they discover a mysterious newborn on their farmland, they decide to keep it and raise it as their own.

The film essentially is playing up on the anxieties of parenting.  Possibly the biggest fears of any adult can have when you become responsible for another person. No words can describe those fears same sometimes with the joys too. Mixing things up with a dark, twisted folklore gives birth to something truly inrtiguing, intense viewing. If your a Beach Boys fan, you may not see a classic song in the same light again

An audacious, genre-defying mix of horror and folklore, LAMB is the debut feature from Icelandic writer-director Valdimar Jóhannsson.

A couple on a remote sheep farm find a mysterious newborn and decide to raise it as their own, but soon face the consequences of defying the will of nature. Winner of the Prize of Originality award at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival, and featuring a career-best performance from Noomi Rapace (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo), this disturbing and uniquely unsettling cinematic experience is truly unlike anything you’ve seen before.

The film also stars Björn Hlynur Haraldsson, and Hilmir Snær Guðnason.

Lamb will be first released in the UK and Irish cinemas from 10th December. Then released exclusively on MUBI from 25th February 2022.
